A rare post from me
As a general rule, I try to stay away from politics and other social issues. Mostly I only poke fun at some of the crazier things that I see and then move on. For me, publicly discussing politics is such a rare thing I didn’t even know where to post this. It’s something that I couldn’t carve down to 140 characters and it has no place on the KBP website. So, I am leaving this on my tumblr to fall into certain obscurity. Also, please forgive me if there are errors. I didn’t proof read this and it’s 4:30am. This some straight up streaming from Carl’s brain. So here it goes.

There are times that people just don’t seem to have a brain in their head. While the details of global warming might be up for debate, it’s widely accepted by scientist that there are some major changes going on with the world’s climate. Now that we’ve had a few weeks of heavy snow, the Wreckless Right (those that would allow their own rhetoric to hurt others) are saying “This proves there’s no such thing as global warming!” These people are going as far as attacking people that have supported steps to curb greenhouse gases and other things that are believed to be directly linked with global warming.
Lets all take a moment to let this set in. For a decade or two, the idea of climate change and the human influence over it has grown. Decades of research and data points to the fact that something is happening. Again, decades. Not years. Decades. So why would one winter, that has been actually very mild up until this one point, change all this data? Here’s a tip, it doesn’t.
By this very logic, there is no economic crisis. For each quarter since Obama took office, the unadjusted unemployment rate has greatly slowed and actually decreased in the fourth quarter of 2009. Don’t worry, unlike a lot of these people talking, I bring the math. The following is directly from the Bureau of Labor
So since unemployment is now on the fall, that means the economy is fixed right? Where are the TV ads about that? Where is Rush’s little witty jabs about how Obama’s change has finally come? No? Nothing? Ok. So we can all just agree you’re retarded. It’s ok folks, I’m using it as satire…
So while we’re on the subject of the media bias against the current administration… Why is it that so many people were quick to bash the auto bailouts and as soon as there’s good news about it, no one says a word? Did you know that GM was ahead schedule on it’s repayment of loan money it received from the US and Canada? I did. But that’s only because I listen to NPR and read the BBC. Try running a search on this story and you’ll be hard pressed to see it reported in America as more than a blurb.
Why is this not bigger news? Because negative news is what makes money. Also, so many of these people have been pounding on this idea for so long, there is no way they would admit they’re wrong. I looking at you Beck.
Anyways, that’s just a few things that burn my ass like a 5 foot flame. I have nothing against people that have conservative beliefs. Some of my beliefs have and currently fall into the realm of conservative ideals. I just hate it when people don’t use their heads. Which is why I really hate Palin.
